ContactBruno has a background in Knowledge Exchange and Commercialisation (KEC), innovation management, and intellectual property management. He works with universities and companies at both the individual project level and more strategic organisational level. Bruno has supported university projects throughout their journey from the earliest stage of invention identification all the way through to commercialisation through licensing and spinout creation. From the University wide perspective Bruno has managed University KEC activities, including supporting the business case for incubators, patent portfolio optimisation, and managing translational funding programmes.
Bruno works with corporates on innovation management and IP portfolio optimisation. For SMEs this typically involves IP portfolio optimisation and internationalisation. For larger international companies this asset identification and IP due diligence.
Bruno’s experience in innovation management is built on a solid foundation of academic research and business experience. In academia he has PhD and Postdoc in Life Sciences research from Cambridge and Oxford Universities, respectively. He has also studied and worked in the UK and abroad, completing an MBA and co-founding an innovation management company in Portugal.
