Oxentia’s story began in Oxford, rooted in technology transfer and the commercialisation of research. Over the years, that foundation evolved into a global innovation consultancy—supporting organisations to build capability, shape strategy, and turn knowledge into real-world impact. The milestones below reflect key moments in our journey, from our early origins to the growth and expansion of Oxentia’s work worldwide.
Creation of Isis Innovation Ltd, the technology transfer office of the University of Oxford.
The name "Isis" came from the river that runs through the city of Oxford.
Isis Enterprise is established to address the University's increased interest in technology transfer best practice.
Isis Enterprise quickly acquires its first clients.
The activities of Isis Enterprise expand internationally, with clients in Latin America,
Spain, and Asia.
Isis Enterprise's international achievements are recognised in the presentation of a Queen's Award for Enterprise.
Isis Enterprise is rebranded "Oxentia - Oxford's Global Innovation Consultancy".
Oxentia soon spins out of the University of Oxford, to become Oxentia Ltd in August 2017.
Oxentia expands its mission through the creation of the Oxentia Foundation, incorporated in December 2020, and begins delivering global challenges and programmes with partners such as Banco Santander.
