Alexandra has a background in knowledge exchange and commercialisation (KEC), strategy development and programme management and heads up Oxentia’s Knowledge Exchange and Technology Transfer services, engaging with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs), Public Sector Research Organisations (PSREs), governments and private sector organisations.  She has co-developed and led workshops for universities and government departments both in the UK and internationally to support new initiatives leading to more targeted commercialisation of intellectual property (IP).  This has included IP policy reviews and reviews of other related policies linked to technology transfer (TT) and assessing organisational frameworks and structures to provide recommended best practice approaches to deliver KEC. Alexandra has worked with in the Middle East, Asia Pacific, Latin America, Europe and the UK delivering ATTP accredited and bespoke training and mentoring for universities, research organisations and government agencies, supporting researchers, entrepreneurs and professional services teams.  She has supported spinout companies in developing business plans and pitches to secure investment. She has also worked with corporates in understanding their technology scouting needs and identifying opportunities for acquisition.

Alexandra is a member of the Royal Society of Chemistry Applied Materials Chemistry Group, focusing on industrial uses and opportunities for materials which significantly enhance or determine the performance of a product (e.g. healthcare, ceramics, water and waste treatment). With a PhD in Chemistry she has experience of working in industry, government funded organisations and universities across a range of sectors at senior/executive level.
