At Oxentia, Andreea manages and delivers strategic innovation and technology commercialisation projects for UK Universities, government sector clients and R&I funders, such as Wellcome and the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO). She has experience in the early-stage Biotech, CleanTech and Digital technology space gained through several licensing and market strategy projects, as well as through her work as a start-up mentor for Scottish Enterprise and Santander. Andreea managed the Research England-funded Shared Technology Transfer Office in Advanced Engineering and Manufacturing for the Midlands (STTOAEMM), a consortium of six partners, led by the University of Warwick. STTOAEMM aimed to support universities with smaller or less resourced technology transfer offices by sharing expertise, networks, and resources to build a stronger commercialisation pipeline.
Andreea also manages the innovation function at Oxentia (new product development) which involves promoting and implementing new offerings and products to grow the business: prioritising, tracking and managing a small portfolio of internal projects, in close collaboration with the Senior Leadership Team.
Before joining Oxentia in 2021, Andreea was a Development Scientist at Oxford Nanopore Technologies, where she worked on developing a sequencing-based COVID-19 diagnostic kit.
